Who Is Kimberly's Kritter Care?

We are an amazing team of highly respected, responsible, and reliable pet care professionals providing midday dog walks and in-home pet care for pet parents in North Charleston and surrounding areas!

Our Mission

  1. To provide outstanding care to the pet parents of Charleston while giving them peace of mind so they don't have to feel guilty about leaving their dogs at home alone all day while they work.

  2. To provide personalized pet care customized to the pet's specific needs while caring for them in their own home where they are most comfortable when their parents travel.

Kimberly Layman,
Founder & CEO

After working in the corporate world for many years, I found that wasn't my true calling. I realized I really wanted to do something that I was passionate about. My love of animals and my desire to provide them with the care they deserve inspired me to leave my corporate job and become a professional pet sitter. I founded Kimberly's Kritter Care in 2016, and have been providing North Charleston and surrounding areas with dependable, knowledgable, and loving pet care services ever since.

In my spare time I love to hang out with my fur family and my partner, Josh. I also enjoy volunteering at local animal shelters and fostering kittens.

I am a proud mom to four rescues: a black lab mix named Buddy, a plott hound mix named Molly, a tuxedo cat named Callie, and a rambunctious tabby cat named Charlie!

At Kimberly's Kritter Care, we truly love animals and have years of experience working with them. We are all Pet First Aid and CPR certified. You can trust us to provide a safe, comfortable, fun, and healthy environment for your furbabies. Whether it’s taking them for walks, administering meds, coming by to feed and let them out, or providing in-home care, we’ll watch over your pets as if they were our own.

We can't wait to meet you and your furry, scaly, and feathered friends!

Sam Soule, Pet Care Specialist

Hey everyone, my name is Sam and I moved to Charleston in 2021 from New York! Nope, not the big city, just a little small town.

I'm a huge animal lover and, unfortunately, I don't live on a farm or I'd have an actual zoo I'm sure! (Future goals!)

I have 3 puppers - Zeke, Raine, and Bowie and two kitty litter mates - Kitty & Shadow. They are all so unique in their own little ways and bring such joy to my life.

I am pet first aid and CPR certified and have experience administering medications.

I'm very excited to become a part of this crew and look forward to meeting everyone and their fur (or scaly) babies!

I'm incredibly happy to be a part of this team!

Amanda Vincent, Pet Care Specialist

Hi! I’m Amanda and I joined the Kimberly's Kritter Care team in May, 2023.

I’m originally from Charlotte, NC but have been living in Charleston for over 3 years now. I’ve been working with animals since I was a kid. Growing up my dad was a zoologist, so we had every pet you can imagine - dogs, cats, lizards, hamsters, even a skunk!

I’ve been a Veterinary Technician for the past 3 years and love every second of it. However, I’ve worked in different parts of animal care since I was eighteen. Doggy daycare, service dog training, petsitting, all of that! My passion is truly in animal behavior, particularly nervous or fearful pets, and I want to make sure your fur babies are always comfortable and relaxed while you are away.

Lilli Neal, Pet Care Specialist

Hi! My name is Lilli and I'm very excited to be a part of the team at Kimberly's Kritter Care. I moved to Charleston in August, 2021 from Indiana. As long as I can remember I've always had a passion for animals. We always had animals in the house growing up and as soon as I was old enough to work I jumped on every opportunity to work with them. I have worked with animals in a variety of settings including doggie daycares, boarding facilities, and an animal hospital over the past 5 to 6 years. I currently have two fur babies. Bentley is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd and Cinnamon is a 1 year old Border Collie. I know how important pets are, they are family and I promise to treat your pet as if they were my own. I have completed training in animal behavior and other pet related courses. I am currently taking a course for CPR and pet first aid and will soon be certified in both. I'm very excited to meet everyone and their wonderful pets!

Taylor Lane, Pet Care Specialist

Greetings! My name is Taylor, and I am incredibly excited to be a part of Kimberly's Kritter Care team. I was born and raised in South Carolina, and I recently earned my Master's of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. I will soon be pet first aid and CPR certified. Throughout my life, I have always had pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, fish, and even sugar gliders! Life is simply more fun with pets, and being a pet parent has always felt very rewarding to me. I do not have children, but I do have 3 cats - Luna, Coco and Jack, and a dog named Rogue, and I definitely consider them my babies! In my free time, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, spending time in nature and kickboxing. I dream of one day opening my own animal rescue/sanctuary. I look forward to meeting and providing excellent care to your precious fur babies!
